HCLS is a federated system of
12 Public
Library members in Hidalgo County.
Associate members include high school libraries in Hidalgo County,
Texas, the South Texas Community College Library and the McAllen International
Museum. The Hidalgo County Library System
(HCLS) was founded in 1971 to improve and develop libraries and library
services for all residents of Hidalgo County.
HCLS is supported with funds from Hidalgo County and strives to promote,
coordinate and help provide full and free library services to all residents of
Hidalgo County.
